Minor Requirements

The Political Science Minor provides a sound social science supplement for students in other social sciences and in nonsocial science curricula, and gives some preparation for careers in law, teaching in the social sciences, journalism, and the public services.
Requirements
A minimum of 21 credit hours in Political Science.

PO 101: American Government and Politics (3 cr)

and two of the following three courses:

PO 103: State and Local Government and Politics (3 cr)
PO 232: International Relations (3 cr)
PO 241: Comparative Government and Politics (3 cr)

A minimum of 12 upper division credit hours-at least 3 of these credit hours must be earned in a purse in Political Theory (PO 420, PO 421, or PO 423) and at least 3 credit hours must be earned in a sub-field other than Political Theory.

PO420: Western Political Theory (3 cr)
PO421: Modern Political Theories (3 cr)
PO423: American Political Theories (3 cr)
